On the Prosecco hills of Conegliano Valdobbiadene
Ancient tradition,
good land and precious wines
Viticulture, an ancient passion
Situated in a splendid hilltop position approximately 40 km from Treviso, in a central position with respect to the Prosecco hills of Valdobbiadene and Conegliano, you will find ColSaliz. In this territory, where man has practised viticulture for centuries and which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, our family-run Farm has been producing Prosecco DOCG and local sparkling wines, since as far back as 1889.
Consortium for the Protection of Prosecco Valdobbiadene
In 1962, the Consortium for the Protection of Prosecco di Conegliano Valdobbiadene was established, which defined a set of rules to protect the quality and image of the precious wines of ColSaliz and the entire area, which includes 15 municipalities covering a total of 8,000 hectares of cultivated land, with two gems of Italian oenology: Rive and Cartizze.
ColSaliz: a legacy that keeps on giving
In 2004, the old company was dissolved and the historic business passed into the hands of Antonio Faganello, the fourth generation. His is a moral legacy as well as a passion, born of a strong bond with the territory. The ColSaliz brand was born, with a completely renovated structure, ultra-modern winemaking facilities and scientific methods to minimise human intervention and respect the product.
Today, our ColSaliz winery covers 15 hectares of sandy soil, known as Saliz in the Venetian dialect, from which the ColSaliz farm takes its name. From the refined class of ‘Cartizze’ to the rare and prized ‘Servo Suo Rive’ to the ‘Cuvée di Famiglia’ and ‘Prosecco DOC Millesimato’, our wines are famous throughout the world for their pleasant aroma and harmonious flavour.

An Italian icon in the world
Good wine
is made with good grapes
With its straw yellow colour, fresh, fruity flavour, and the fragrance that envelops you even before the first sip: our Prosecco DOCG is made using vineyard cultivation systems that bring out the best of the grapes produced, and therefore a highly versatile wine with a soft and satisfying flavour, a true icon of the Italian lifestyle in the world.
Appropriate planting density, plus a drastic reduction in treatments, especially in the vineyard located a few steps from the winemaking facilities: the success of our production lies in the care we take with the Glera grape, the main variety used for Valdobbiadene DOCG wines.
The family vineyard
Over 130 years of Faganello
Our ColSaliz Winery is part of our family heritage, and always evolving.
We are already taking care of the generational transition to keep intact the know-how acquired in over 130 years of winemaking culture and all the human and professional relationships that make a company a great company, regardless of its size.
